About
Success Stories
We have an awesome 2 y/o Cane Corso that has been a part of our life sine he was a puppy. However, a couple different factors led to him becoming a totally different dog. Once I became pregnant, he became much more protective and territorial. Additionally, against our better judgement, we got him neutered which was a total disaster. He was so traumatized by it that he became completely distrustful of pretty much anyone that wasn't inside his circle of people he loved. Finally, the last straw was when we tried to board him while we went on vacation, the boarding facility staff attempted to drag him in by his leash while he was resisting and screaming.
We turned to One-Unit K9 to help retrain him to a point where he was more manageable and they delivered well beyond our expectations. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, he is extremely obedient. They've minimized his territorial aggression to the point where he'll sit/lay and stay while strangers are in the house. He alerts us when people come into the house, but he is much more under control and responds when commands are directed towards him. They worked extensively on his thresholds and introduced him to more and more stressful situations so he's better equipped to handle them. Also, we can leave him for extended periods of time out of the cage while we're gone and he doesn't destroy anything. They put in a ton of hours working him on the leash and working on him maintaining his focus and not getting distracted by other animals and people. He's at the point now where we're beginning to transition from walking on leash to training him to walk off leash. He's a totally different dog!
We are so thankful and we're extremely pleased with the results and would recommend One-Unit K9 to anyone who is struggling with an unresponsive, uncontrollable dog!
3 weeks ago Sake would have been climbing all over me, panicking, trying to run as far away as possible at the sound of a dirt bike. She’s a basket case and incredibly stubborn and has the dog equivalent of ADD. We still have a long way to go but I am so happy with the foundation One Unit K9 laid down for her!!! I’m excited to keep working with them to continue her progress. - Katrice | Columbus, GA
I went to Ronan's first group class and he was in attack mode. He is wasnt use to other dogs and being in a confined area. Bryant was awesome with the exercise he made us do. By the end of class Ronan was wagging his tail. The more we take him to group classes the better he will get. Thank you Bryant! I look forward to more classes. - Julie | Phenix City, AL
